Obituaries

Nora T. Hughes of Blackstone, MA, formerly of Quincy, passed away at Oakland Grove Healthcare Center in RI at age 74. Born in Dorchester where she was raised and educated, she worked as an insurance adjuster for J. Barry Driscoll Insurance Co, of Braintree for many years before retiring.

The beloved daughter of the late Francis and Mary (Kelley) Hughes, Nora was the beloved sister of Mary E. Gadsby of Blackstone, Anne Sedor of Ontario, NY and the late Margaret Hughes and Edward Hughes. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, grand nieces, grand nephews, great grand nieces and great grand nephews.

Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, March 21 from 2:00 to 5:00pm at the Dennis Sweeney Funeral Home 74 Elm St. Quincy Center. Family and friends are invited. On Monday there will be a gathering at the funeral home at 10:30am followed by a Funeral Mass at St. John the Baptist Church 44 School St., Quincy at 11:30 am. Cremation will follow.
