Obituaries

Paul J. Hastings of Mattapan passed away on Thursday, February 26, 2015 at age 91. A lifelong Boston resident, he served in the Air Force in WWII and was a Boston Firefighter for 37 years before retiring. In his spare time he enjoyed golfing and going to the races. The beloved husband of the late Anita I. “Nita” (Ivoskus) Hastings, Paul was the loving father of Benedict Hastings of Washington, DC, Rhonda Estrella of Boston, Sharon Carr of Braintree, Paul E. Hastings of Mattapan, Melanie Procaccino of Sandwich, Tara Healy of Quincy and the late Mary Tamberg; dear grandfather of Adam, Ashley, Dawn, Paul “PJ”, Eric, Katy and Adriana; loving brother of Mary Shea of Brockton, Barbara Bragg of Pocassett, Joan Drivick of FL and the late John Hastings, Henry Hastings, Grace Tolland and Alice Conley; and is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be held on Friday, April 3 from 4:00 to 6:00PM immediately followed by a Memorial Service in the funeral home chapel. Family and friends are invited.
