Paul Leo Joyce, 74, of Weymouth, passed away peacefully on December 18, 2018, after a long illness. He was surrounded by his loving family.

Born and raised in Charlestown, MA to the late John and Agnes Joyce in 1944. One of seven children, he graduated from Boston Trade High School in 1962. For several decades, Paul worked as a plumber, Local 12 Boston, before retirement. An honorably discharged veteran, Paul proudly served his country as a member of The United States Army in the 101st Airborne Division.

Paul was a devoted husband for 49 years to the love of his life, Judy. He was a dedicated father, grandfather, and friend. He was cared for and survived by his immediate family: wife Judith (Tolson) Joyce, sons David and his wife Karen of Braintree, Daniel and his wife Kathryn of Kingston, Joseph Joyce and his wife Danielle of Brighton, daughter Colleen Jordan and her husband Rob of Marshfield. Paul was also cared for by his nieces Lauren, Christine and Erin. He was a loving brother to Bart, Jay, Maureen, Tom, Peter, and Ann. Dear grandfather of Brendan, Claire, John, Anna, Kathleen, Robert, Justin, Jackson, Donovan, and Madeleine. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In the warmer months, he could be found in his garden or digging for quahogs. In the winter, he loved skiing. Casting lines deep-sea fishing was a passion. Fish trembled at the mentioned of his name. Paul was known for his unmatched sense of wit and humorous stories. He was a loyal and truthful man. A great friend and an amazing gardener.
