Anyone that got to know Rawley admired her intelligence, kindness, generosity, selflessness, commitment, sense of humor and her strength and beauty, inside and out. She had a deep-seated love and respect for nature. Everything from the ants that crawled into our house to the bears that wandered through our yard got the same amount of respect, and were often given names, as if they were her own pets. All living things were beautiful and wonderful to her. Our shared loved for birds is something that drew us together from the beginning. Trees brought her great joy, and she would get so upset when someone in the neighborhood cut one down. For her, the sky itself was an endless source of entertainment, with its ever-changing clouds, colors, and layers. Waterfalls, large and small, brought her a sense of tranquility and inspiration. And she enjoyed photographing all of it!

I was lucky enough to spend 30 years (22 married) with this wonderfully weird and delightful woman. And I think that those of you that knew her will agree…we will never meet anyone quite like Rawley again. She was a true original, with a style and character all her own. A genuinely wonderful and caring person that always wanted to leave things better than they were before she encountered them. And she did just that.

Rawley is survived by her beloved husband Joseph A. McFadd of Lancaster; cherished daughter of the late Clifford and Charlotte (A’Hern) Rawley of Lowell, MA; loving sister of the late Steve Rawley, and Ellen Rawley of Texas; dear sister-in-law of James J. McFadd and his fiancé Candice Murphy of Zephyrhills, FL, Richard H. McFadd and his wife Sherry of Marshfield, the late Pauline Sweeney and her husband Dennis of Quincy and Hull, Thomas G. McFadd and his wife Ann of Los Angeles, CA, David J. McFadd and his wife Lisa of Waltham, and Betty Ann Gwatkin and her husband David of Lyndonville, VT; Rawley is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
