Ricardo V. Luy of Quincy passed away on Monday, August 27, 2012 at age 56. Born in Angeles City, Philippines where he was raised and educated, he lived in Quincy for many years and worked as an instrument sterilizer at Tufts University. The beloved husband of Marites F. (Feliciano) Luy, Ricardo was the loving father of Francesca Luy of Quincy; dear brother of Cresencia Luy Garcia and her husband Leonardo, Carmelita Luy Kwong and her husband Albert, Feliciano V. Luy and his wife Ofelia, Cecelia Luy Samson, Carlos V. Luy and his wife Rowena and Benedicta Luy Cabrera and her husband Arnel; brother-in-law of Maria and Frank Barry, Marita Binda and her family, Marissa Carreon and her family and Richard and Dall Ferrer; and is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will held on Thursday, August 30 from 5:00 to 8:00PM at the Dennis Sweeney Funeral Home 74 Elm St. Quincy Center. Family and friends are invited. On Friday there will be a gathering at the funeral home at 8:00Am followed by a Funeral Mass at 9:00AM at St. John the Baptist Church 44 School St. Quincy. Burial is at Pine Hill Cemetery.
