Obituaries

Richard A. Steinkrauss of Weymouth passed away unexpectedly on Monday, April 11, 2016 at age 57. A lifelong Weymouth resident, he received his Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from Suffolk University where he was a member of the Delta Sigma Pi Fraternity. He became the District Fraternity Director of many chapters and in 2004 received a Lifetime Achievement Award from his Chapter. At the time of his death, Richard was working as comptroller for the Northeast Gas Association. He was a kind and generous soul, always willing to go the extra mile to help others.

The beloved son of the late Francis J. and Margaret J. (Tajc) Steinkrauss, Richard was the loving brother of Neal F. Steinkrauss and his wife Antoinette of Weymouth, David P. Steinkrauss and his wife Ann Marie of Middleboro and Phillip J. Steinkrauss and his wife Denise of Weymouth; and is also survived by two loving Aunts. Mary Steinkrauss of Braintree and Theresa Mikkola of Idaho Falls, Idaho and by many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews.

Family and friends are invited to visiting hours which will be held on Friday, April 15 from 4:00 to 8:00PM at the Dennis Sweeney Funeral Home 74 Elm St. Quincy Center. On Saturday there will be a gathering at the funeral home at 8:30 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at 9:30AM at Sacred Heart Church Weymouth Landing. Burial is at Mount Hope Cemetery, Weymouth.
