Richard D. Baker of Braintree passed away on Monday, February 22 at age 67. A lifelong Braintree resident, he was a Veteran of the Vietnam War and worked as an electrician until his retirement. He was the loving father of Sgt. Major Graham R. Baker, US Army of Converse, TX and Melanie Pero and her husband William of East Bridgewater; dear grandfather of Kyra and Ashley Baker and Emma and Nolan Pero; beloved brother of Sally Anne Van Melkebeke of Weymouth, Raymond Baker, Jr. of CA and the late Kathleen, David and Brian Baker; and is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to visiting hours which will be held on Thursday, February 25 from 4:00 to 7:00PM at the Dennis Sweeney Funeral Home 74 Elm St. Quincy Center. On Friday there will be a gathering at the funeral home at 9:00AM followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00AM at St. Joseph Church 550 Washington St. Quincy.
