Obituaries

Robert A. Kelly of Braintree passed away on Thursday, January 25, 2018 at age 80. Born in Quincy where he was raised and educated, he lived there many years and worked as a pipe coverer in the Pipefitter’s Union Local 6. The beloved husband of Dorothy A. (Daly) Kelly, Robert was a loving father, grandfather and brother. He leaves his son Andrew Kelly, his wife Karen and their daughter LouAnna, of Braintree; his daughter Bethanne Adams, her husband Michael and their children, Ashley and Pierce, of Dorchester; his son Brian Kelly, his wife Samantha and their children Hayden, Blakelyn and Declan, of Easton. He was preceded in death by his son Joseph P. “Joey” Kelly. Robert is also survived by his brother Alfred Kelly and his wife Gloria of Weymouth, his sister Elizabeth Sulmonte and her husband Anthony of FL and many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to visiting hours which will be held on Monday, January 29th from 4:00 to 8:00PM at the Dennis Sweeney Funeral Home 74 Elm St. Quincy Center. On Tuesday there will be a gathering at the funeral home at 9:00AM followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00AM at St. Joseph Church 550 Washington St. Quincy. Burial is at Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
