Robert P. Bibaud of Holbrook passed away unexpectedly Sunday while at home with his family. After spending his early childhood in Newark, NJ, he grew up in Pembroke, MA. He attended Silver Lake Regional High School, where he had great passion for sports and academics alike. He loved singing, sports, cooking, golfing, celebrations, taking impromptu road trips, and above all else, sharing everything with his family. He proudly worked for over 40 years as a mailer at the Boston Globe in Teamsters Local No.1 where he served as the union chairman, as his father had.

He will be remembered for his selflessness, humility, unconditional love, diligence and quiet warmth. Robert found himself happiest in the presence of his children and partner, Anne. A gentle soul who loved spending time with those he loved, including his grandbabies, and fur-baby, Lola, Robert was the kindest person in the world.

The son of the late Edward P. and Laura Bibaud, Robert was the the loving partner of Anne LaSalvia; devoted Dad of Edward Diggin of Braintree, Brendan Bibaud of Pembroke, Anthony LaSalvia of Norwood, Alanna Empoliti and her husband Brian of Halifax, and Jessica LaSalvia, Andrew LaSalvia and Abigail Bibaud, all of Holbrook; doting grandfather of Arianna Bibaud of Pembroke, Hayden Barros-Bibaud of Pembroke and Cassius and Wilder Empoliti of Halifax; dear brother of Steven Bibaud and his wife Cecile of Hilton Head, SC, Edward Bibaud of Pembroke and Donna Bibaud of Pembroke; and is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to visiting hours which will be held on Thursday, January 28 from 4:00 to 8:00PM at the Dennis Sweeney Funeral Home 74 Elm St. Quincy Center. On Friday there will be a gathering at the funeral home at 9:00AM followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00AM at St. Clare Church 1244 Liberty St. Braintree. Cremation will follow.
