Obituaries

Robert W. Clemens of Hingham passed away on Tuesday, July 14, 2015 at the age of 90. Born in New York where he was raised and educated, he received his BA in mechanical engineering at Cooper Union in NYC and his MBA at National University. A very active and happy person all his life, he worked in the aerospace industry in Texas for many years and retired after working for General Dynamics.

The beloved husband of the late Kathleen (Harris) and Shirley (Plowman) Clemens, Robert was the loving father of Lawrence Young and Karen Young, both of Hull, Kathleen Miles and her husband Kurt of IL, Celeste Hopkins and her husband Rolly of Methuen, Deborah Hall of Schertz, TX, Keith Clemens and his wife Amy of Hanson, Marylou Weaver and her husband David of Hull and the late William Robert Clemens; loving brother of Janice Langland and her husband Tuck of Granger IN and the late Adeline McCormick and her husband Frederick. He is also survived by many devoted grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and  nephews and dear friends in all parts of the country.

On Thursday, July 23rd there will be a Remembrance Gathering celebrating Robert’s life from 12:00 to 2:00PM at Linden Ponds 203 Linden Ponds Way, Hingham. Family and friends are invited.
