Ronald R. “Hio” Beaudoin of Quincy passed away on Saturday, June 27, 2015 at age 87 after losing his long battle with cancer. A lifelong Houghs Neck resident, Hio was a Korean War Veteran, US Army, served in the Merchant Marines and worked as a clam digger and lobsterman out of Quincy Bay. He is the beloved father of Richard Beaudoin and his wife Gayle of Pembroke, Linda Beaudoin-Wright of Pembroke, Raymond Beaudoin of Barre, Roger Beaudoin of Braintree, Ronald P. Beaudoin and his wife Arlene of the Philippines, Patricia Beaudoin and Teresa Beaudoin, both of Weymouth; dear grandfather of Holly, Nicholas, Geena James, Veronica, Marie, Lisa and Daniel; great-grandfather of Natalie. Hio was the beloved brother of the late Armand Beaudoin of Braintree and Lucille Williamson of Georgia and is also survived by his nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, July 1 from 4:00 to 8:00PM at the Dennis Sweeney Funeral Home 74 Elm St. Quincy Center. Family and friends are cordially invited. On Thursday there will be a gathering at the funeral home at 9:00AM followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00AM at t. Joseph’s Church 550 Washington St. Quincy. Interment with Military Honors is at St. Denis Cemetery, Nelson Rd.,  Harrisville, NH.

Donations in Ronald’s memory may be made to the Humane Society.
