Obituaries

Rosemary A. (Sweeney) McLaughlin of Braintree passed away on Sunday, April 23, 2023, at the age of 79. Rosemary graduated from Regis College with a Bachelor of Arts and she also graduated from Florida Southern College with a Bachelor of Science. She was a Vietnam Veteran who served as a Captain in the United States Army. She worked as a Dietician in Florida and the South Shore area and was a member of the American Dietician Association.

Rosemary was the loving mother of Jennifer Michael Kapetanakos and her husband Angelo of Weymouth, and Christopher McLaughlin and his wife Gina of Brockton; dear grandmother of Emma, Grace and Cloe of Weymouth, and Allyson, Ashley, and Anna of Brockton; sister of Dennis S. Sweeney of Hull, the late Margaret Jones, the late Michael J. Sweeney, and the late William H. Sweeney; Rosemary is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to visiting hours on Sunday, April 30th from 2:00PM-5:00PM at the Dennis Sweeney Funeral Home, 74 Elm Street, Quincy Center. On Monday, there will be a gathering at the Funeral Home at 9:00AM with a Funeral Mass at 10:00AM at St. John’s Church in Quincy, followed by Military Honors. Cremation to follow.
