Russell J. “Jay” Wayland of Hull passed away on Tuesday, May 15, 2012 at age 55. Born in Boston, he was raised and educated there and in Randolph, a graduate of Randolph High. The owner of JWay Enterprises of Scituate, Jay was a well-respected diesel engine specialist with clients on the North and South Shores. He loved the sea, the woods and wildlife, lobster dinners, cookouts and especially his family.

The beloved husband of Theresa A. “Terry” (Chance) Wayland, Jay was the loving father of Stacy Baker and her husband Daniel of Abington, Joseph R. Donlan of CA, Tracylee Burke and her husband Patrick of Marshfield and Gregory A. Donlan of Watertown; beloved son of Russell Wayland of Randolph and the late Elizabeth (MacIsaac) Wayland; dear brother of Richard “Rich” Wayland of TX, Larry Wayland of NV, Michael and Brian Wayland, both of Roslindale and JoAnn Wayland of Braintree; loving grandfather of PJ, Benjamin, Isabelle and Julia Matson, Jennifer Christensen, Madison and Riley Donlan; and is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be held on Friday, May 18 from 4:00 to 8:00PM at the Dennis Sweeney Funeral Home 74 Elm St. Quincy Center. Family and friends are invited. A Funeral Service will be held at the Funeral Home on Saturday at 10:00AM. Cremation will follow.
