Sam Ameen, CHANGE OF DATE former QPD & former MDC of Weymouth passed away Wednesday January 21st, 2015 at age 87. Born in Quincy where he was raised and educated, he was a WWII Veteran in the Marine Corps. Serving in law enforcement for over 44 years, Sam was an officer for the Quincy Police Dept., the MDC Police and in the Wildlife and Fisheries Div. of the Environmental Police. He was also a 50-year member of the Quincy Masonic Lodge.

The beloved husband of Camille (Spinelli) Ameen to whom he was married for 56 years, Sam was the loving father of Samuel V. Ameen and his wife Liza of Los Angeles and Cami Germaine and her husband Eric of Marshfield; dear grandfather of Vito and Alizeh; brother of Michael Ameen of TX, Elizabeth of CA,  Lillian Lowry of AZ and the late Joseph Ameen,  Sarah Abraham, Ann Noyes and Ramsey Hassan; is also survived by many nieces and nephews and was fortunate enough to have 2 step granddaughters, Abi & Julia.

Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 3 from 9:00 to 11:00AM immediately followed by a Funeral Service at the Dennis Sweeney Funeral Home 74 Elm S. Quincy Center. Family and friends are invited. Burial with Military Honors is at Mt. Wollaston Cemetery.
