Samuel J. “Sam” Pellicane of Quincy passed away on Saturday, February 2, 2013 at age 88. Born in Camden Maine, he lived in Quincy for 63 years. A veteran of WWII US Army, he had worked as an instructor at the Fore River Shipyard for 20 years. An avid stamp collector, Sam belonged to the 26th Yankee Infantry Division of Boston and was the past president of the Parents Assoc. of the Renegade Drum and Bugle Corps.

The beloved husband of Florence (Urciuoli) Pellicane, Sam was the loving father of Antoinette M. “Toni” Magee of Weymouth, Marie Conlin and her late husband John “JR” of Athol, Judy P. Brown and her husband Terry of Weymouth and Sandra J. Pellicane of Rockland; dear grandfather of Richard, John, Danielle, Alexander, Brittany, Peter and Samuel; brother of Angelina Anastas of Peabody and the late Frances Columbo; and is also survived by ten great-grandchildren.

Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, February 5 from 4:00 to 8:00PM at the Dennis Sweeney Funeral Home 74 Elm St. Quincy Center. Family and friends are invited. On Wednesday there will be a gathering at the funeral home at 9:00AM followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00AM at Holy Trinity Parish, Our Lady of Good Counsel Church 227 Sea St. Quincy. Burial with Military Honors is at Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton.
