Sean “Shawn” Patrick Flaherty of Braintree passed away on Sunday, February 5, 2016 at age 50. Born in Boston, he was raised and educated in Quincy and was a journeyman for Iron Workers Local 7. The cherished son of James “Flash” Flaherty and his wife Cathy of South Boston and the late Helene (Mallen) Tempesta, Sean was the loving brother of David Flaherty and Jim Tempesta of Braintree and Vinny Flaherty of South Boston. He is also lovingly survived by his aunts and uncles, numerous cousins and extended family members, as well as countless friends.
Family and friends are invited to visiting hours on Wednesday, February 15 from 11:00AM to 1:00PM at the Dennis Sweeney Funeral Home 74 Elm St. Quincy Center. A Funeral Service will immediately follow at 1:00PM in the funeral home chapel. Burial is at Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
