Stella M. (Dapsis) Dalessio of Quincy passed away on Tuesday, May 5, 2015 at age 91. Born in South Boston where she was raised and educated, she graduated form So. Boston High and the Famous Artists’ Painting School in CT. She enjoyed painting, knitting, sewing and crocheting and reading about natural remedies. For 65 years Stella was the beloved wife of the late Elio J. Dalessio and was the loving mother of Steven Dalessio and his wife Sandra of Weymouth and Suzanne Velis of Westfield and her husband, the retired Honorable Superior Court Judge Peter Velis; dear grandmother of Nichole Cardarople and her husband John, Danielle Dalessio, Stephanie Velis and Nicholas Velis; great-grandmother of Teagan and Kylie Cardarople;  and is also survived by many nieces and nephews and her devoted nephew Brian Dapsis.

A visiting hour will be held on Tuesday, May 12 starting at 11:00AM immediately followed by a Funeral Service at 11:30AM at the Dennis Sweeney Funeral Home 74 Elm St. Quincy Center. Family and friends are invited. Burial is at Pine Hill Cemetery, W. Quincy.
