Stephen J. Duane of Forestdale, MA passed away on Saturday, November 26, 2011 at age 56. Raised and educated in Hingham, he lived in Forestdale since 1986. A crane operator for Local 4, he was also a superintendent for Duane Wrecking Company in Quincy. Stephen enjoyed fishing and golf and hanging out with his Lab, Henry.
The loving father of Stephen J. Duane of Fort Lauderdale, FL, he was the beloved son of John J. Duane of Sandwich and the late Dorothy (Doyle) Duane; dear brother of Jack Duane and his wife Nancy of NH, beloved nephew of James and Ruthie Hurley of E. Weymouth and is also survived by 2 nieces and many cousins.
On Thursday, December 1 a visiting hour will be held starting at 9:00AM at the Dennis Sweeney Funeral Home 74 Elm St. Quincy Center. Family and friends are invited. A Funeral Mass will immediately follow at 10:00AM at St. Joseph’s Church 550 Washington St. Quincy. Burial will be at a later date.
