Susan M. “Penny” Irwin of Braintree passed away on Wednesday, March 9, 2011 at age 66. Born in Brockton, she was raised and educated in Quincy and lived in Braintree for 40 years. She had worked as a private duty nurse for many years before retiring.
The beloved mother of Patrick Irwin of Weymouth, Wendy Fuchera of Woburn, Eric Irwin of CA, and the late Pamela and Mark Irwin, Penny was the loving grandmother of Patrick, Stephanie and Maritza; great grandmother of Kyle; beloved sister of Peter and James Damiano and Diane Mancuso and is also survived by her lifelong friend, Nancy J. Radtke.
There will be a visiting hour on Monday, March 14 from 8:00 to 9:00am, followed by a Funeral Mass at 9:30am at Sacred Heart Church, Weymouth Landing. Family and friends are invited. Burial will be at Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
