Obituaries

Susan (Scott) Giordani of Quincy passed away with her family at her side of Thursday, April 24, 2014 at age 92. A homemaker, she was born in Scotland and came here at age 8. The beloved wife of the late John J. “Randy” Giordani, Susan was the loving mother of Elizabeth A. “Betty” Richardi and her husband Anthony of Braintree, Susan “Sunny” McGarry and her husband Maurice of Ft. Meyers, FL and James “Jim” Cody and his wife Geraldine of Randolph; devoted grandmother of Cheryl Ryan, Stephen Richardi, Michael J. McGarry, John Richardi, Linda McGarry, James Cody and JoAnne Cody; great-grandmother of 7; preceded in death by her parents, Francis and Isabel (Monro) Scott, and her siblings, Mima Barclay, John Scott, Samuel Scott, Thomas Scott, Lily Smyth, Isabel McAndrews and Mary Mowbray. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and will be sorely missed by her wonderful friends at 1000 Southern Artery, especially her Scottish friend Ann and Jimmy and Jenny. Her family would like to thank the staff at Alliance Healthcare in Braintree for their outstanding compassionate care.

Visiting hours will be held on Monday April 28 from 9:00 to 11:00AM immediately followed by a Funeral Service at 11:00 at the Dennis Sweeney Funeral Home 74 Elm St. Quincy Center. Family and friends are invited. Burial is at Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
