Obituaries

Thomas A. Duncanson of W. Quincy passed away at home on Wednesday, September 16, 2009 at age 70. Born in Boston, where he was raised and educated, he lived in Quincy for 41 years. He was a retired painter who worked many years for District Council 35. An avid card player, he was friend of Bill W. for 30+years. Thomas and his wife Yvonne (Cushing) had just celebrated 48 years of marriage.

He was the loving father of James M. Duncanson, T. J. Duncanson and the late Edward E. Duncanson, all of W. Quincy; dear grandfather of Thomas, Sheila, Tyler, Daniel, Andrew and Ayla. One of 13 children, he is survived by his brother Francis Duncanson of CA and his sister Shirley McKay of Canada.

Visiting hours will be held on Friday, September 18 from 4:00 to 8:00pm at the Dennis Sweeney Funeral Home 74 Elm St. Quincy Center. Family and friends are invited. On Saturday there will be a Funeral Service in the funeral home at 10:00am. Burial is in Pine Hill Cemetery, W. Quincy.
