Thomas Richard Delaney of Quincy passed away at Tufts Medical Center on Wednesday, January 5, 2011 at age 62. Born in Quincy, he was a lifelong resident and worked as a plumber for the Plumbers and Gas Fitters Union Local 12. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed fishing, camping and hunting.
The beloved son of the late James and Catherine Delaney, Thomas is survived by his sisters, Eileen Delaney of Weymouth, Catherine Tocci of Hull and Claire Brids of Hingham and his brother, James Delaney of Niantic, CT. He also leaves many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, January 9 from 2:00 to 5:00pm at the Dennis Sweeney Funeral Home 74 Elm St. Quincy Center. Family and friends are invited. On Monday there will a gathering at the funeral home at 9:00am, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00am at St. Joseph’s Church 550 Washington St. Quincy. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, W. Quincy.
