Obituaries

Vera P. (Tartar) Beswick of Foxborough, passed away at John Adams Health Care in Quincy on Monday, August 12, 2013 at age 93. Raised and educated in Philadelphia, she lived most of her life in MA and worked as a secretary, bookkeeper during her career from which she retired as office manager of the UMass Boston Health Center. The beloved wife of the late Ellsworth C. Beswick, Vera was the last survivor of six siblings. The loving mother of Barry E. Beswick of Richmond, VA, dear grandmother of Jeffrey Beswick and Douglas Beswick. Vera also is survived by her nephew Leroy Marshall of Plymouth, her grand-nieces, Karen Westcoat and Donna Rose and her grand-nephew Michael Marshall.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, August 24 at 11:00AM at the Dennis Sweeney Funeral Home 74 Elm St. Quincy Center. Family and friends are invited. Burial is at Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree. In lieu of flowers, please feel free to make a donation in Vera’s name to the Breast Cancer Fund.
