Obituaries

Virginia A. (Keady) Monty of Quincy, formerly of Dorchester, passed away on Monday, January 7, 2019 at age 78. A graduate of Msgr. Ryan Memorial High School, she worked as a clerk for the Schindler Elevator Company for over 23 years and was an active member of the Town River Yacht Club. The beloved wife of the late John T. Monty to whom she was married for 47 years, Virginia was the daughter of the late Michael and Margaret (Clancy) Keady; loving sister of Kathleen Cully of Milton and the late Mary L. Conway and Joseph M. Keady; beloved aunt of James Cully of So. Boston, Carolyn Cormican of So. Weymouth, Diane Cully of Hanover and Kevin Cully of So. Boston and is also survived by grand-nieces, grand-nephews and many lifelong friends.

Family and friends are invited to visiting hours which will be held om Friday, January 11 from 4:00 to 7:00PM at the Dennis Sweeney Funeral Home 74 Elm St. Quincy Center. On Saturday there will be a Funeral Service in the funeral home chapel at 11:00AM. Burial is at Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
