Timothy (Tim) Faherty, son of the late Timothy and Mary (McDonough) Faherty, died on Friday, December 2, 2022.

Tim grew up in Quincy, MA and was a graduate of Archbishop Williams High School in Braintree, MA and Salem State College in Salem, MA. After a brief stint teaching history at Catholic middle schools in Hartford, CT and Braintree, MA, he joined Travelers Insurance in their Workers’ Compensation department. After Tim retired from Travelers in 2009, he joined Guaranty Fund Management Services, until retiring for good in 2011.

Tim‘s passions included doting on his grandchildren, U.S. Civil War history, coin collecting, movies, car maintenance, target shooting, New England sports and enjoying life on Cape Cod (particularly in Harwich).

He will be remembered for his quick wit and one-liners, love of many music genres, fondness for sunrises and sunsets, ability to talk to anyone about anything (notably politics and sports), meticulous care of his cars, unmatched ability to tell a story and his generosity. He will be greatly missed by his family.

Tim was the loving father of Maureen Faherty, Karen Lehane and Matthew Faherty & his wife Kristi. Loving grandfather of twins Ashlyn & Keira Faherty. Loving partner of Jeanne Dahl. Dear brother of Sheila Faherty. Dear uncle of Christopher Ward, Jennifer Ward and Elizabeth Ward. Dear great-uncle of Julia & Nicole Ward, Augustus Ward, Joseph Dillon Nerney and Jason Ward. Also loved by many extended family members.
